Yolanda and Evie competed at the Columbus All Breed Training Club’s Barn Hunt trial on 1/18/2026 looking for their Barn Hunt Novice title. However, they did not quite make it. Evie is doing well at finding the rats……just not quite the concept of going through the tunnel yet. Tunnels are a requirement for the Rat Novice title. But, Yolanda will get them there!
Evie also took another run at the Rat Instinct title as warmup for her Novice run. She zeroed in on that rat in 9.32 seconds! That is blazing fast. Just shy of 2 seconds faster than her first run which gave her the Rat Instinct (RATI) title. It is a full 7.18 seconds faster than her mom (Bentley) managed at this age for her RATI title.
We can’t wait to see what Evie and Yolanda accomplish with more time to train…..after all, Evie is only 8 months old!!!
